My favorite lessons were the Developmental Models of Supervision and ACES Best Practices and Theories of Counseling and Supervision. I really liked learning about the different models and found the concrete examples/role plays throughout the lessons very helpful. I also really appreciated the University of Washington Tacoma toolkit shared in the Ethics of the Supervisory Relationship and Counselor Development that helps showcase how counselor supervision overlaps with corporate supervision.

All of the food for thought. I really appreciate how many things you presented about being a supervisor that I would not have considered! It was also very validating to hear all the things I "should" have gotten in my own supervision but sadly did not. I always felt my supervision was lacking but would not have been able to tell you why. I never received a single evaluation in nearly six years of supervision for two licenses!!! Overall, very informative and thorough and thought-provoking training course.

I thought I was really going to dislike the role play/script assignment, but it turned out to be one of my favorites!

 

I liked the depth of the content and that it was self-paced.

I definitely think writing the supervision plan and supervision contract was helpful. Even though it was a lot of work, it was nice to have that written out and receive feedback.

 

It was a lot of work, but totally worth it! I appreciated that this was a thorough coarse. The contract and supervision plan was so helpful. The handouts were awesome. Loved coming up with a role play, it made me excited to be a supervisor and help. I enjoyed the Harvard surveys as well as the Theory quiz. I learned a good amount about myself through these assignments and it was a much needed deep dive into the laws, codes and ethics. Thank you for the personalized video sent out a few weeks in. The graders were very helpful and the 10 min phone call was of great value. This is a great course!

This course was challenging but in the best way possible. It required me to recall knowledge about theories that I have not thought about in years.
