Q: Is this course approved by Texas BHEC, LPC, or LMFT licensing boards?

A: There is long answer to this:

  • LMFT rules require that 50% of CEs come from approved sources. One of the approved sources is a national organizations. Dr. Walker is a NBCC approved provider.
  • Upcoming LPC rules will require that 50% of CEs come from approved sources. Two of the approved sources are national organizations and LPC Supervisors. In addition to being a NBCC approved provider, Dr. Walker is a LPC and LMFT Supervisor.

Q: Is this course considered online, live, interactive, or asynchronous?

A: This course is asynchronous.
  • Limits on online, asynchronous CEs for LPCs were removed in 2019.
  • LMFT regulations still stipulate only 15 CEs can be accrued from an online asynchronous non-interactive course each renewal cycle.
