Minnesota LMFT Supervisor Training

30-Hour Asynchronous Supervision Education Course

Clinicians seeking to meet Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy (BMFT) supervision education requirements (30 clock hours) will gain formal training in clinical supervision through this structured, fully online program.

This course is designed for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) who want to build a supervision system that protects their license, supports supervisee development, and aligns with Minnesota supervision expectations.

  • Develop a Supervision Contract

  • Develop a Supervision Plan

  • Complete a Multicultural Supervision Assignment

All assignments are reviewed for completion.


Continuing Education

  • Total Hours: 30 Supervision Education Hours

  • Includes focused content in:

    • Ethics and legal issues in supervision

    • Multicultural supervision

    • Documentation and supervision systems


Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate documenting:

  • Course title and participant name

  • Course start date (date of purchase or voucher redemption)

  • Course end date (date all requirements are completed and approved)

  • Total supervision education hours completed: 30


Important Information

This course provides formal supervision education consistent with Minnesota Rule 5300.0160.
Supervisor approval is granted by the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy as part of the supervisor application process.

Participants are responsible for confirming eligibility with their licensing board.
