Course FAQ
Q: Is this course approved by the North Carolina LCSW licensing board?
A: The North Carolina board's website for all things social work is: NC Social Work Board. The Board does not require pre-approval of organized training events attended by the social worker. However, your continuing education activity is subject to audit. Although CEU or attendance certificates should not be attached to your Renewal Affidavit, you will need to be able to provide upon request, verifiable proof of attendance and credit hours.
21 NCAC 63.0401 Continuing Education Requirements:
(c) The following activities shall be approved for continuing education:
(3) cross-disciplinary offerings from medicine, law, and the behavioral/social sciences or other disciplines, if such offerings are related to social work practice, values, skills, and knowledge;
(4) distance learning activities, including online courses and home study courses that have been preapproved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) or the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and its associated state chapters. The maximum continuing education credit granted for distance learning activities is one-half of the required hours, up to a maximum of 20 contact hours per renewal period.
Kate Walker Training is an NBCC approved provider, and the 40-hour LCSW Course has been approved for ASWB ACE credit.
Therefore, we strongly believe this course is an approved training for social workers in the state of NC.
Q: Is this course considered online, live, interactive, asynchronous?
A: This course is asynchronous.

A: No. This course is considered an e-good, and all e-good purchases are final, so please be sure to read the purchase terms and conditions before you pay for your purchase.
