Online courses aren’t for everyone.

Without the right equipment and software, they can be downright frustrating. Here are some things we’ve learned from our community over the years that might help.

1.     For the best online experience, operating systems and updates matter.

Please make sure your operating system on your device is the latest version. Be sure to update your browser, word processing applications, and other applications you plan to use.

 If you discover your operating system is no longer supported, please do not purchase this course until you are able to access a device with a valid operating system.

2.     We aren’t ignoring you!

Email can be tricky. We've discovered our emails find you much more easily when they are not getting trapped in the spam protection at your school or agency. In fact, we recommend you do NOT use work email to correspond with us.

Please take a moment and add support@katewalkertraining.com to your list of approved emails. If you are taking a course that will require you to submit assignments, then please also addassignment@fortyhoursupervisortraining.com.

You will get purchase confirmations immediately. We answer support emails on business days. If you don't get a purchase confirmation, or you don’t hear from us within a business day, check your spam folder first, then give us a call at 936-697-2822.

3.     I didn't pass the quiz. Did I fail the course?

No. The completion of a home study program must be verified by the completion of an assessment or quiz demonstrating that the participant completed the program. According to NBCC requirements, the quiz should be difficult enough to assess learning but should not be designed to trick or overly burden the participant. If you fail a quiz you'll have an opportunity to go back and review the material, and retake the quiz, and pass the course.

4. Why two certificates?
 
When you finish the course material you will see a certificate of completion in your online profile. If you are using the documentation for NBCC or your licensing board, you will need something  documenting specific hours and topics.
 
At Kate Walker Training we email you an official detailed CE certificate with the information NBCC and most licensing boards need AFTER we have verified you successfully completed the course material and the quizzes.

5. Certificate problems:

Why isn't my name on my certificate?

You will need to add your name and your completion date to your official certificate. Kate Walker Training only validates certificates that match the name and the date of completion in our records.

  1. Can I get a refund?

    No because all of our E-good purchases are final.

E-goods are defined as:

  • Items that are downloaded after purchase (like paperwork).

  • Items you consume (use, attend, read, watch) in the moment or stored to watch later at your convenience (like online courses and workshops).

  • Items whose content is archived, is not happening in real time, and/or was created at an earlier point in time.


Lack of integrity/cheating will result in immediate removal from the course and legal action if necessary.


Please remember when you purchase this course that you are NOT purchasing a certificate. Rather you are purchasing an opportunity to earn a certificate. Some examples of cheating/lack of integrity are:

  • Disputing charges if you fail to earn a certificate 

  • Re-purchasing the course under another email if you failed to earn a certificate

  • Plagiarism
